Most public school districts will issue a license (at least in Mississippi) to anyone that passes the Praxis (pass/fail) and maintains a C- average. Really! Homeschool parents are "uneducated!" Most homeschool parents I know are highly educated. My wife maintained an A average in order to attain her BA in Communication Disorders and I have an MBA in Business Administration with a 3.72 GPA. I think we have over educated ourselves.

I also know that there were a plethora of grammatical mistakes made by the writer. Homeschool students took to social media in droves to point out the mistakes and thus they have been since corrected.

As a homeschool parent in Mississippi, I feel that this article from Harvard is (for the majority) a blatant attack on my family's lifestyle. I understand that there is some valid concern for those that do abuse their children, but that is not isolated to homeschool. I don't have the source, but there are far more abuse cases in the public school system. Most homeschool students have a better grasp on education and contribute more to society than anyone that might make it through the PSS.
